The Challenge

TradeLens aimed to revolutionise the shipping industry by using blockchain technology, developed by IBM and Maersk, with support from MSC and CMA CGM. As a pioneering tech-first solution to complex global logistical problems, communicating this B2B success story in a consumable and relatable format was our core mission.

The Outcome

In addition to featuring in the IBM Media Centre, the film quickly gained close to 100,000 views on the TradeLens YouTube channel shortly after launch. It was exceptionally well received, with the individual shipping companies requesting bespoke versions for their own channels.

Our Approach

We sourced local crews across Europe to capture interviews and b-roll with the three main players in the story, directing remotely via video linkup to keep budget and environmental impact as low as possible. We co-ordinated with each shipping company’s comms teams to ensure we had access to their best archival footage that captured the scale of their operations across the globe, colour grading each clip to integrate everything consistently and seamlessly.
