Ewan King

With a solid background in creating award-winning films across all kinds of topics, Ewan studied theoretical and practical film-making at the University of Stirling, before refining his film-making skills on-set in a variety of countries.

After founding Content is King in 2000, he now helps blue-chip businesses across the world connect with their customers via authentic videos and films. And thanks to digital and mobile technologies, this means he can get targeted messages directly into your customer’s hands (and minds).

In fact, Ewan firmly believes that online and mobile content is the future for all types of strategic objectives. From a YouTube campaign to promote a new product, to an internal communications project, or a corporate investment opportunity, he always puts your audience first and foremost.

Stephen Liddle
Founder and CEO


Stephen has been involved in delivering digital marketing communications since the days of 56k dial-up and CD–Roms. He created Content is King after realising the potential of combining films and digital delivery together.

He spent the earliest part of his career as a marketing lecturer in Chambery, France (which also meant he could explore the surrounding ski resorts).

Now, with 20 years of digital media experience, Stephen prides himself on ensuring Content is King exceeds clients’ expectations time after time. He is comfortable working both directly with clients and collaboratively with advertising agencies, with a hands-on approach that ensures every project meets its own deadlines, budgets and objectives.

Outside work, Stephen is a qualified football coach and loves encouraging his sons on the pitch.

Rob’s creative talents help to deliver outstanding work for clients, whatever the brief. With a deep understanding of filming techniques, combined with a passion for exploring ground-breaking ideas – and knowing exactly who is the best person for each job – Rob can guide each team and project to their full potential.

Rob has now worked as a writer, producer and director for 100s of Content is King projects and approaches each new brief with enthusiasm and professionalism.

At home, Rob is an avid vinyl collector and cineaste, and also loves heading into the great outdoors on family camping trips.

Rebecca Wainewright-Smith
VP Client Account Management


Rebecca joined Content is King in 2002 and is dedicated to ensuring their customer service and account management shines.

Working mainly with corporate and employee communications clients, Rebecca is always available to provide friendly advice and updates throughout all projects. And she will always go the extra mile to ensure everyone is happy with the end result.

Rebecca loves cricket and is a Life Vice President of St Peters Cricket Club in Brighton. She also sings in a women’s choir.

Alan manages the growing roster of clients and our internal account team alongside Rebecca Wainewright-Smith to ensure seamless delivery across our entire output.

With over 10 years experience working with senior stakeholder clients across a diverse range of sectors, Alan’s passion for creative excellence is matched by his desire to exceed expectations

Outside of work Alan is a keen musician, photographer and film buff who loves to travel.
